SCHADE, CURRANS, ANTOINE, BRAMER, BROWN

Sept 18, 1972 - Kossuth County Advance - James B. Schade, 67, of Bode, died unexpectedly at his home last Tuesday. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial in the parish cemetery. The Rev. David J. Hogan officiated and the Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers were Pat Brown, Tom Antoine, Mike Geelan, Emmet Currans, Bob Graff, and Dick Graff.

Born Feb. 15, 1905 at Ruthven, Mr. Schade was the son of Benjamin and Jane Currans Schade. He graduated from high school at Ruthven in 1923 and farmed in that area for some time. He married Catherine Antoine at Ayrshire on June 3, 1940. He did custom work in Kossuth and Palo Alto Counties before moving to the Bode area in 1957. He was formerly employed by Hallett Construction and for the past three years was a scale operator with the P and M Stone Co. of Bradgate.

Mr. Schade is survived by his wife, three sons and one daughter; John of Thor; Bernard, Pocahontas; Eugene, Seoul, Korea; and Mariann, Mrs. Gary Bramer of Minneapolis. There are four grandchildren. Also surviving is one sister, Frances, Mrs. Ray Brown of Dickens.
