Sept 3, 1966 - Humboldt Independent - Funeral services for Charles Ries, 91, lifelong resident of the Livermore area, was held at 10 a.m., Thursday, September 1, with Rosary services held at 9 p.m., Wednesday at the Schellhammer Funeral Home in West Bend, Rev. Gerald Skahlll officiated. Interment was in the St. Joe Cemetery.

Mr. Ries died Tuesday morning at the Sisson Nursing Home in Humboldt following a lengthy illness. He farmed all his life in the Livermore - St. Joe area. He was never married.

Among the survivors are four sisters, Mrs. Mary Welter of Ottosen; Miss Katie Ries of Des Moines; Mrs. J.J. Donald of Hemet, California; and Mrs. Anna Welter of Tucson, Arizona; and two brothers, Henry of West Concord, Minnesota; and John of Randaha.
