Feb 18, 1974 - Kossuth County Advance - Funeral services for a lifetime Kossuth County resident, Joseph "Will" Reding, 85, of St. Joe, are at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joseph's Catholic Church with the Rev. David J. Hogan officiating. Burial will be in the parish cemetery, the Wilson Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements. Pallbearers are William, Ronald and Dennis Reding, Joe and Gary Stattelman, Gary and Jerry Rapp.

"Will" Reding was born in Riverdale Township of Kossuth County on Feb. 19, 1888, a son of Nicholas and Anna Laubenthal Reding. He was married to Gertrude Germann at St. Joe April 29, 1919 and lived 81 years on the farm where he was born. Mrs. Reding died April 2, 1964 and he had been a resident of the Good Samaritan Center the past five years and died there Friday morning.

Surviving is one son, Marcel Reding of Bode and two daughters; Pearl, Mrs. Vernon Kramer, Livermore and Stella Mae, Mrs. Frank Stattelman, Humboldt. There are 11 grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Two brothers and two sisters; Louis, Andrew, and Clara Walker all of algona and Sister Phyllis Reding, O.S.F., Bancroft, also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, nine brothers and six sisters.
