Oct 7, 1920 - Kossuth County Advance - Mrs. Anna M. Reding died at her home in Algona Saturday morning, aged 58, and was buried Monday at St. Joe, where funeral services were conducted by the Rev. E.S. Maynard. The body was laid beside that of the late Nicholas Reding in the St. Joe cemetery.

Mrs. Reding had been in ill health for several months. Recently she consulted specialists at Rochester and it was found she was afflicted with a tumor. The doctors decided she was too weak to stand the shock of an operation and she was advised to come home to regain her strength.

Mrs. Reding was born abroad, but came to this country when she was 17 years old, and from that time till she died, Kossuth county was her home. In 1883 her marriage to Mr. Reding took place. They lived on a farm south of Algona till he died in 1915. Two years ago she rented the farm to her sons and bought a home in Algona.

Fifteen children were born to Mr. and Mrs. Reding, as follows: Adam, Rodman; George, Ottosen; Mrs. Katie Capesius, Algona; Mrs. Anna Thilges, Ottosen; William, Bode; P.C., Monterey, Minn.; Nick, Whittemore; Andrew, Ottesen; Mrs Lizzie Borman, Bode; Susie, Louis, Margaret, Clara, and Helen, Algona.
