April 11, 1930 - Bode Bugle - Mrs. Catherine Juchem died at the home of her children five miles northwest of Bode, Tuesday, April 1st, of a cancerous growth. The funeral was held on Friday, April 4, at St. Joseph's Church, Father Theobald of Humboldt, officiated.

She was born in Dubuque and came here 55 years ago; was married to Dominick Juchem in 1879. Her parents were Michael and Katie Heiderscheidt. She was ill but two months.

She is survived by her children Thomas, Addie and John at home, Mrs. Peter Capesius, Mrs. Mat Hentges, Emma, Henry of Algona. Also 3 brothers, Adam, John and Mat; 4 sisters; Mrs. Maggie Simon, Mrs. Annie Monarch at West Bend, Mrs. P. Andre at Algona, and Mrs. Mary Fuhrmann in Texas. The pall bearers at the funeral were Dennie, Oscar and Raymond Hentges, Edward and Julius Juchem, and Dennis Capesius. Livermore Gazette.
