Nov 14, 1929 - West Bend Jouranl - Mrs. John Heiderscheidt died at her home in West Bend, Monday, Novenber 4, having been in poor health for the past six months. Katherine Andre was born in Luxemburg, Germany, Dec. 24, 1870 and at the time of her death was almost 53 years old. She came to the United when she was fifteen years old to Algona and two years later her parents came to this country.

She worked at Algona for three years and on Feb. 12, 1894 was united in marriage to Johnny Heiderscheidt at St Joe. To this union four children were born, two girls and two boys. One of these daughters, Katharine died when she was seventeen years old in 1920. The other daughter is Mrs. Elizabeth Hundermark of West Bend. The sons are Peter of Chicago and Michael of West Bend, who with the husband survive her.

She is also survived by a brother, Peter Andre of Graettinger, and two sisters, Mrs. J.P. Winandy of Chicago and Mrs. John Simmon of Algona, all being present at the funeral. Mr. and Mrs. Heiderscheidt resided on the farm until 1921 when they moved to West Bend where they have since made their home. The funeral services were held last Thursday morning at Sts. Peter & Paul's church, Rev. P. M. Dobbersteln officiating. The remains were taken to St Joe where they were laid to rest by the side of her daughter, Katherine. The pall bearers were Henry Wolfe, Peter Mertz, Mike Nelson, John Hink, Mike Klepper and Joe Schaller.
