March 28, 1935 - Algona Upper Des Moines - St. Joe: Mrs. Adam Heiderscheidt died at her farm home northwest of St. Joe at 5 p.m. March 20, 1935 at the age of 68 years, after a long duration of sickness from diabetes. The last two days she was in a coma and only for brief periods did she recognize her relatives and loved ones. She was a kind and loving mother, a good neighbor and not one to complain of her hardship in life. Due to this her lamilv did not realize the seriousness of her condition until a few davs before her death.

Burial was in the St. Joseph's cemetery. The pallbearers were six nephews - Joseph and Peter Becker, Tony Thilges, Pat Hundertmark, Mike Heiderscheidt, and Juluis Becker.

Mrs. Heiderscheidt's maiden name was Anna Knott and she was born in New Ulm, Minn. January 3rd, 1867, the eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs Hubert Knott. At the age of seven years she came with her parents to the St Joe area and has lived here ever since. On February 7, 1888, she was married to Adam Heiderscheidt in St Joe Catholic church and at death lacked only three years of living to celebrate her golden wedding anniversary. There were eight children born to this union: Mary, (Mrs. Nick Klein) St Joe; Mrs. Kate Thilges of West Bend; John of Burt; Frank at home; Michael of Bancroft; Margaret (Mrs J P Mertz) of Hobarton; Helen at home; & Mrs Susan Agnes deceased, who preceded her mother in death.

Besides her husband and seven children left to mourn her loss are 22 grandchildren and five sisters and two brothers: Mrs. John Becker and Mrs Joseph Becker of St Joe; Mrs Valentine Engert & Mrs Edward Haas of Fairbault, MN; Mrs Peter Lenertz of Comfrey, MN; Peter Knott of Watkins MN; John Knott of Millbank, South Dakota. A brother Frank Knott & a sister Mrs Peter Kirsch are deceased.
