April 5, 1928 - Kossuth county Advance - The Livermore Gazette reports the death last week Monday of Mrs. Peter Erpelding, St. Joe, aged 87. She had been ill three weeks with a breaking down from age. She was born in Luxembourg in 1840, and when she was 27 was married there. The following year she came to America with her husband, and they settled at once at St. Joe. Mr. Erpelding died many years ago.

Surviving children are Mrs. Nick Altman, Eva Erpelding, Mrs. Peter Bormann, Mrs. J.P. Thilges, Mrs. N.J. Weydert, P.E. Erpelding, all St. Joe, and Mrs. Geo. Klein, Wattins, Minn. Father Storck conducted funeral services for Mrs. Erpelding at the St. Joe Catholic church last Thursday.
