May 24, 1933 - Algona Upper Des Moines - Mrs Mike Erpelding, 84, died at her home in St Joseph last Tuesday. She was one of the early settlers of the St. Joe neighborhood and widely known. She is survived by her son, J.B. Erpelding, and her two daughters, Anna and Kate, all of whom made their home with her. Also two sons Peter of Oregon, and John of Algona and one son, Casper, deceased.

Her maiden name was Catherine Link and she was the eldest of a large family of children. The surviving brother and sisters are Wm. Link of Livermore, Mrs. J. Fuhrmann of Livermore, Mrs. Peter Thilges of St. Joe, Mrs. Nick Marso of Whittemore, and Mrs. Phil Zeller of Minnesota. Funeral services were held this morning at the St. Joseph's Catholic church, Father Theobald officiating.
