Livermore —William Devine, 84, of Livermore, died at the Lutheran hospital, Fort Dodge on Tuesday Jan. 24. Mr. Devine suffered a stroke Saturday evening and was rushed to the hospital. He had been in failing health over a year.

William Devine was born Dec. 20, 1876 in Riverdale township in Kossuth County. His parents
were Barnett and Abigail Batterson Devine.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs Nellie Goetzman of Pomona, Calif., and several nieces and nephews. His parents, three brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services were held Thursday in the Methodist church here, Rev. Usher officiating.
Pall bearers were John Segar, William Claus, Ray Falb, Edwin Blazen, Alvin Lcnertz and Lawrence Miller. Burial was in the Irvington cemetery.

Blake's Funeral home of LuVerne was in charge of arrangements.
