Friday Morning Last
LIVERMORE—Funeral services were held here this Friday morning at 9:30 from Sacred Heart
Church for Mrs. Mary Wernert, age 76, with Rev. Costello officiating, with burial at Mt. Calvary
cemetery. Acting pallbearers were Ernest Boyd, Frank Baumgardner, Frank V. Devine, Leo Devine,
George Thul and Peter Zelmet. Donovan funeral home was in charge.

Mrs. Wernert was born in Eldora, Iowa, the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Barnet Devine.
She was married to Charles Wernert in December, 1879, at St. Joe, Iowa, and lived in that vicinity
until 1918 when they moved to Livermore where their residence has been maintained since.

Four children were born, three of whom survive, namely, Mrs. Nicholas Blasen of White Lake, S. D., Mrs. George Lenertz of Livermore, and Mrs. J. C. Hanson of Aberdeen, S. D. Mr. Wernert preceded his wife in death two years ago. There are thirteen grandchildren and one great grandchild.
