Page 4Services For Myra Ostrum On Friday
Mrs. Frank (Myra) Ostrum, 92, died early Tuesday morning at the Titonka Care Center.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 1, in the First Presbyterian Church, with the Rev. Walter F. Morz officiating. Burial is in Riverview Cemetery, the Oelenfeld-Schaaf-McCullough Funeral Home in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Pallbearers are John Norman, Dean Bilyeu, Ray Cook, Ted Chrischilles, Walter Peterson and Dick Cowan.
Myra was born at Fairbanks, Ia., on Oct. 25, 1882, a daughter of Milton and Lucinda Adams DeWald. She was married to Frank Ostrum at Fairbanks on April 30, 1912 and they made their home in Algona.
Mrs. Ostrum was very active in the Presbyterian Church, where she was a president of the United Presbyterian Women four years. She is a member of the Order of Eastern Star, the Royal Neighbor Lodge of which she served as Oracle, President two years of the Relief Corps and was a member of her Birthday Club 32 years. She was honored by her club on her 90th birthday.
Mrs. Ostrum is survived by four grandchildren whom she raised; Janice, Mrs. Don Baade, Titonka; James Ostrum, Kenosha, Wisc.; Jerry Ostrum, Ottumwa and Steve Ostrum of Ames. There are 12 great grandchildren.
One sister, Mrs. Daisy Bennet of Oelwein, also survives.
She was preceded in death by her husband, who died in June of 1965; a daughter, Helanie, and her son, Ed, died in 1971. Her parents, a brother and sister are also deceased.

Mrs. Myra Ostrum, a resident at the Titonka Care Center for the past two years, passed away Tuesday morning at the Care Center.
Funeral services will be held Friday, August 1 at 10:30 a.m. at the Presbyterian Church in Algona. Burial will be at Riverview Cemetery, Algona.
Mrs. Ostrum is survived by a granddaughter, Mrs. Donald Baade; three grandsons, James Ostrum of Kenosha, Wis., Jerry Ostrum of Ottumwa and Steve Ostrum of Ames; and 12 great grandchildren.
Mrs. Ostrum is a former Algona resident.
