In re, Will of Samuel Lamoreux, Dec'd.
Now, to-wit: on this 15th day of July 1905, the last will and testament of said deceased having been duly admitted to probate, a true, correct and complete record of the same and of the certificate of probate thereto attached is now ordered and entered herein as required by law as follows, to-wit:
IN THE NAME OF GOD, AMEN: I, Samuel Lamoreux, of the town of Titonka, in the county of Kossuth, and State of Iowa, of the age of 75 years, and being of sound mind and memory, do make, publish and declare this my last will and testament in manner following that is to say:
FIRST: I give and beqeath to my son, William Lamoreux, the sum of $1.00, to my son, Leroy Lamoreux, the sum of $1.00; to my son, Clarence Lamoreux, the sum of $1.00; to my son Reuben Lamoreux, the sum of $1.00; to my daughter, Mrs. Cora Isely, the sum of $1.00; to my daughter Mrs. Emma Weatherwax, the sum of $1.00; to my daughter, Mrs. Libbie Crawford, the sum of $1.00, to my daughter, Mrs. Mariah Reynolds, the sum of $1.00; to my daughter, Mrs. Bertha Smith, the sum of $1.00; to my daughter, Mrs. Georgia Anne Hoffman, the sum of $1.00.
SECOND: I give and devise to my daughter, Mrs. Bertha Lane, her heirs and as signs, all my interest in that tract or parcel of land situated and described as follows: The south-east quarter of Section 2 in Buffalo Township, Kossuth county, Iowa, together with all the hereditaments and appurtances thereto belonging, or in anywise appertaining; to have and to hold the premises above described to the said Bertha Lane, her heirs and assigns, forever.
LASTLY: I give and bequeath all of my personal estate, goods, chattels, of what nature and kind so ever, to my daughter, Mrs. Bertha Lane as aforesaid, in witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal, this 21st day of Aug. 1905, in the year of our Lord one thousand nineteen hundred and three.

subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.[Transcriber's note: this will has two "Berthas" as being the daughters of Samuel Lamoreux, most likely an error]
