Biography reproduced from page 542 of Volume II of the History of Kossuth County written by Benjamin F. Reed and published in 1913:
Henry Kunz is one of the well known business men of Wesley, where he has for many years past been identified with the Kunz Grain Company. He was born in Richwood, Wisconsin, May 3, 1877, and is a son of Edward and Anna (Scheberle) Kunz, of whom more extended mention is made in the review of Otto J. Kunz, published in another part of this work.
Henry Kunz was reared at home and received his early education in the public schools. He remained under the parental roof during his early manhood and was engaged in the hay business with his father until the time of the latter’s death, after which he became identified with the Kunz Grain Company and has since continued to devote his entire attention to that business. He is owner of one hundred and sixty acres of agricultural land in Kossuth county and of eight hundred acres of land near Crookston, Minnesota, and he also owns three hundred and twenty acres in Saskatchewan, Canada.
Mr. Kunz was united in marriage on the 17th of June, 1904, to Miss Mamie McCutcheon, and they are the parents of one child, Clara. Mr. Kunz is a loyal adherent of the democratic party and is now serving his first term as city treasurer of Wesley. He and his family are members of the Catholic church. Mr. Kunz is one of the widely known and respected citizens of Kossuth county and a man who has made a commendable success of all his business ventures. He is to be relied upon to do his full share in the promotion of any public measure intended to advance and improve the conditions of the people in the community in which he resides.
