My greatgrandmother, Ella P. KINZER, was born in
Blackhawk township, Jefferson County, Iowa , in
Oct. 1881, the #6 child of Hezekiah and Rebecca KINZER. Other children were Bessie, John, Alice and ?? . Hezekiah's father was Henry KINZER.
They had moved from Hendricks/Morgan County, Indiana to Keokuk County, Iowa , in 1837. Charity
Sanders, his mother, died in 1848 and is buried in Friends Cemetery. William H. KINZER was the
youngest son. He married Dorthy Sellers and lived
in Keokuk Co. all his life. Henry died in Jul 1896. I am still looking for a biography on this KINZER family. He owned land in Section 26 and 35. I believe that the index list is incorrect
for the bio listing . Even ancestry.com is incorrect for the 1880 census of Jefferson Co.
They are listed as KING not KINZER.
