Diary Found

HYLAND

Found one diary starting January 1861. The title page: "T. J. HYLAND KEOKUK, IOWA THENCE STARR KANYON, NEVADA TERRITORY". Found in a trunk in Saline County, Arkansas.

This seems to be a record of him traveling with a wagon train in search of better times. The diary is in pretty good condition yet fragile. Anyone know anything about this family? Art Wilson. Little Rock, Arkansas.
