Brown/Smiley family search

I am researching the ancestors and descendants of John and Jane (Smiley) Brown. John was born between 1818-1823 in Ireland. Jane was born in 1823 in Canada. Information from another's research lists their place of death as Richland, in Tama County. However, I believe they meant Keokuk, as the only Richland in Iowa is in Keokuk County. Many of their children were married in either Tama or Poweshiek County, however, they may have moved south before their deaths. If anyone else is researching this family, I would love to share information!
