Hi Carla,
The Keokuk County Historical Society has information and pictures of the old country schools. They also have thousands of obituaries on file and lots of other good info. They are located on the corner of Elm and East Streets in Sigourney, Iowa. They are open to the public two days each week (I think it is Wednesday & Thursday). Mailing address is Box 123, Sigourney, Iowa 52591. Phone 641-622-3005.
