My father's family lived in What Cheer. Grandpa was
Ernest Frederick Nanke (Ernst Friedrich?)and Grandma
was Lottie Humes.
Interestingly enough my High School Home Room Teacher was Marion Kitzman from SE Iowa. I attended
West Waterloo HS in Waterloo, Iowa. He told me that
the Kitzmans and the Nanke were closely related thru
marriage(s).
