Mary Hofman married Ethan W. Gilbert 02 January 1876 in Keokuk. Their families lived in Lafayette township.

What were names of Mary's parents and her age at that time? When did Mary migrate from Strasburg, Alsas-Loraine to the US of A?

BACKGROUND INFORMATION: Mary lists her place of birth as France and Prussia (Alsas-Loraine in the city of Strasburg in accordance with memories of her grand daughter). One of Mary's sons marries a Lindholm. They had 2 daughters; Lucille Gilbert Dickerson(my mother) and her sister Mary Gilbert Puttkammer.
