Wonder if anyone knows of Hugh Wesley Jones who was born 8/16/1917 & passed away 3/10/1990. His last residence according to the SS Death Index was Keota, Keokuk Co., IA. Hugh was probably known as Wes or Wesley around the area. He had sisters Ida & Emma "Bea" who both married Taskers & lived in Jones Co., IA. The parents of Hugh, Ida & Bea were Virgil E. Jones from Chariton Co., MO & Elizabeth Jones from Iowa Co., IA. Trying to find out more info on these children. Their mother passed away 1924 & is buried at Oak Hill in Williamsburg. Wondering what happened to their dad, Virgil. The children are living with their grandfather, Hugh Jones, in Troy Twp., Iowa Co. on the 1930 census. Also wondering if anyone has heard of a guy called "Slim" Jones. My thinking is this was either a nickname for Virgil or Hugh. Have many photos of Slim.
