L.H. Dugger of What Cheer died at the Mahaska hospital, Saturday, September 14, 1940 at the age of 40 years. Mr. Dugger has been manager of the Dugger Kozy lunch cafe in What Cheer for the past ten years. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. O.A. Dugger, three sisters, Mrs. Leo Walden of What Cheer, Mrs. Clifford Piersel of New Sharon and Mrs. Virgil Fisch of Ottumwa. The body is at What Cheer. Funeral arrangements have not been made. DUGGER RIGHTS TODAY. What Cheer, Sept. 16. - Funeral services were held at the Methodist church this afternoon for Lloyd Dugger, 39, who died at the Mahaska hospital in Oskaloosa, Saturday morning following surgery. Services were conducted by Rev. J. C. Porath. Burial in Rice cemetery. (newspaper source unknown)
