RICHLAND - Funeral services for Guy R. Turner, 81, who died suddenly at his home in Richland Wednesday, will be Saturday at 10 a.m., at Behner Funeral Home.
The Rev. D.O. Van Dyne will officiate. Burial will be in Winchester Cemetery.
Turner was born Feb. 16, 1897 at Four Corners, the son of William B. and Eva Kelly Turner. He married Nina Lyons July 3, 1917 at Keosauqua. She died in 1972.
The couple lived most of their married life in the Birmingham and Fairfield communities. Turner was a retired coal miner and automobile mechanic and a member of the Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, George of Fairfield and Donald of Ottumwa; four daughters, Marge Smiddy of Moline, Ill., Maxine Parker and Wilma Fleming, both of Fairfield, Marilyn Jean Starkson of Rochester, Minn.; 28 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one son and one daughter.
