WASHINGTON - Charles F. Greiner 81, retired farmer, died Friday at the Washington County Hospital.
Services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church. Prayers for a Christian Wake will be recited Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Sherman Eden Funeral Home.
Greiner was born March 12, 1893 in Keokuk County, the son of Michael and Caroline Conrad Greiner. He was married in 1916 to Clara Cathryn Hammes.
Surviving are his widow; five sons, Carl, Harold, Howard and Wilford, all of Washington; and Don of Fairfield; and four daughters, Mrs. Elmer Adam and Mrs. Harold Sobaski, Washington; and Sister Delores and Sister Marietta, Omaha, Neb.
Also surviving are 36 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons and two grandchildren. Greiner had been a resident of Washington since 1950.
