LOWELL NISWANDER

Lowell C. Niswander, 81, of Keswick died Saturday, Feb. 25, at Grinnell Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday at the Keswick United Methodist Church, with the Revs. Jim Stout and Don Ridenour officiating. Burial was in the Sixteen Cemetery north of What Cheer.

The son of Jesse DeWitt and Iva Campbell Niswander, he was born April 1, 1913, near South English. He attended Springdale rural school and graduated from Keswick High School in 1931.

He was married to Ada B. Cover Dec. 24, 1940, in Nashua. He farmed in the Keswick area until moving into Keswick in December 1994.

Mr. Niswander was a member of the Keswick United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife; one son, Larry of Grinnell; one daughter, Merna Furney of Knoxville; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Lyle.
