Lillian Louise Williams, 82, died March 27, 2004, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.
She was born June 11, 1921, the daughter of Ross Ensign and Belle Stonebraker Beall, in Hayesville. She graduated from the Sigourney High School. She married Herbert Leslie Williams at the First Christian Church in Des Moines on Dec, 12, 1940. She was employed at Evans Photography in North English for many years. They owned and operated the Fairlane Motel in Sigourney and managed an apartment complex in Des Moines. In 1979 they moved to Oskaloosa and owned and operated Williams Fruit, Grocery and Laundromat. They wintered for over 13 years at Pleasant Valley Trailer Park in Alamo, Texas. She moved to Sigourney in 1993. She was a member of the Sigourney Christian Church, C.W.F. and the Hayesville Club.
She is survived by two sons, Les and Gary; a daughter, Kay Ott; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Leveta Kerkove and Mildred Wilson; and a brother, Franklin Beall of Sigourney.
She was preceded in death by her husband on July 14, 1993; her parents; a grandson, Scotty Williams; a great-grandson, Hunter Wardenburg; a sister, Cleo Seaba; and a brother, Ted Beall.
Funeral services were held Mon., March 29 at the Sigourney Christian Church in Sigourney with the Rev. Jim Bringman and Pastor Frances Baumert officiating. Burial was at Pennington Cemetery south of Sigourney.
