Orville Olin Thompson, 84, passed away Nov. 17 at his home in Ft. Myers, Fla. He was born in Corydon, Iowa and moved to Sigourney as a young boy with his parents Lew and Esther Thompson and five brothers.

In 1940 he married Wanda Fear and they had two daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Margery) Veach and Mrs. Keith (Gaila) Van Dee.

They moved to Kansas in 1972 where he started his stucco business again. His wife Wanda passed away in 1992.

A few years later he moved to Florida, where he met Agnes Hartenstein and lived with her his remaining years.

He leaves five grandchildren, Mrs. Charles(Rhonda) Hoggatt, Mrs. Johnnie (Rita) Howe, Douglas Veach, Mrs. Tim (Angie) Van Dee, Mrs. Jason (Tonya} Reynolds. Also eight great-grandchildren Tarin, Colten and Wyatt Hoggatt, Levi Howe, Karry and Coy Reynolds, Drew Van Dee and Aleana Doll. He is also survived by four sisters-in-law, Mrs. Thelma Keller, Mrs. Wayne(Veda) Ewald, Mrs. Frederick (Pat) Thompson and Mrs. Virginia Barrett and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Wanda, and five brothers, Clarence, Elvin, Richard, Donald and Frederick.

A graveside memorial will be held at a later date in Olathe, Kansas.
