Benjamin H. Seaba, 87, of Delta died March 26, 1996, at Ottumwa Regional Health Center.

He was born March 3,1909, in Sigourney to William and Clara Bergman Seaba.

He married Leatha Ulin February 7, 1932, in Sigourney.

He attended Cornstalk Center Country School. He farmed in Plank Township all his life until retiring and moving to Delta in 1974. He was a member of Delta United Methodist Church and the Coon Hunters Association.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Earlene Morrison and Betty Alderson; six sons, Kenneth, Eugene, Don, Keith, Gordon and Stanley; 34 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and a sister, Mary Hahn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; a sister, Augusta Hartman; and four brothers, Julius, Waldo, Raymond and Ralph Seaba.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 29 at Delta United Methodist Church, with Rev. Vince Homan officiating. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery, East of Sigourney.
