Lelia Icile Kerkove, 85, of Sigourney, died Thurs. July 25, 1996, at the Sigourney Care Center in Sigourney.

She was born Sept. 10, 1910, to Cleveland and Elsie Morrow Beasley in Hayesville. She married Loupy Kerkove on May 4,1927, in Hayesville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Muscatine and Esther Circle at the church.

She is survived by a son, Frank Kerkove of Sigourney; two daughters, Ellen Eversole and Leta Chittick; a brother, Roy Beasley; a sister, Letha Spiess; 15 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister and one infant brother.

Services were held July 29 at 1:30 p.m. at the Ralph J. Wittich Funeral Home in Muscatine with the Rev. William E. Means of the First Baptist Church officiating. Interment was in the Memorial Park Cemetery in Muscatine.
