Kathleen Denny, age 85, of Sigourney, died Tues. Dec. 11, 2001, at the Sigourney Care Center.

She was born in Delta on July 15, 1916 the daughter of James W. and Maude M. (Fritzler) Walden. She was baptized at the Delta Christian Church. She graduated from Delta High School in 1934. She married Glen Denny on Apr. 17. 1935 in Oskaloosa. He died Mar. 23, 1971. They lived and farmed in rural Delta. She moved to Hayesville after Glen's death. She has resided at the Sigourney Care Center for the last eight years and had attended the Church of Christ in later years.

She is survived by three sons, Allan, Kelly and Lynden; and a daughter, Kitty Conover; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; three brothers, Leo Walden, Paul Bollinger and Bruce Walden; and four sisters, Ethel Adams, Thelma Shepard, Alma Hollingsworth and Ruth West.

Services were held Sat. Dec. 15 at Delta Christian Church. Burial was in Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
