Dale L. Moore, 81, of Gibson died Wednesday, March 17, 1993, in Knoxville, at the Veterans Administration Hospital.

He was born January 7, 1912, in Tilton, the son of John and Daisey Ethel Caskey Moore.

He was united in marriage to Wanda Coble September 8, 1956, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua.

He graduated from Gibson High School in 1929 and worked on the railroad and for his father. In 1942 he entered the military, serving in European Theater, receiving five bronze stars. After the War, he worked as a mechanic in Gibson and was a lifelong resident of the Gibson area. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge where he attained the 32nd degree, Shrine, American Legion Post of Delta, and the Gibson Presbyterian Church.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda; a step-son, Jerry Stull and wife Eldonna, and three grandchildren, Jeff, Chris, Jason.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Lawrence and Wilbur, and two sisters, Velma, in infancy and Jeannie Fisher.

Funeral services were held at the Gibson Presbyterian Church Saturday, March 20, with Rev. Don Ridenour officiating. Masonic service was held at the Harden Funeral Chapel and Military Rites at the Cemetery. Burial was in Garrett Cemetery near Delta.
