Keith W. Slater, 75, of What Cheer died Tuesday, Sept. 10, 1991, at North English Care Center in North English.

He was born March 11, 1916, in What Cheer to James and Sarah Kirkby Slater. He married Irene Fedler March 1, 1938, in Sigourney.

He was a graduate of What Cheer High School and later went to Diesel Engineering School in California. He worked for two years at What Cheer Clay Products. He purchased and managed What Cheer Dairy until purchasing a farm East of Sigourney where he spent most of his working life. He and his wife retired in What Cheer where they managed a rock and antique store.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; a son, Carmon and a twin brother, Kenneth.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dorothy Molyneux.

Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at Harden Funeral Chapel in What Cheer, with Rev. Charlie Bywaters officiating. Burial was in White Oak Cemetery near Thornburg.
