Dale D. Davis, 66, of Hedrick died Saturday, August 24, 1991 at his home.

He was born May 22, 1925, in Ollie to David Teddy and Ethel Fern Sheppard Davis.

He married Virginia Stein January 31, 1942, in Lancaster, Mo.

He attended Martinsburg School and was a hog buyer. He served in the Army in WorId War II and was a member of the Hedrick American Legion Post and the Ottumwa Veterans of Foreign Wars Post.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Jim; a daughter, Dixie Wagaman; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother; a brother, Jenie; and a sister, Arlene Norris.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Leland.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Hedrick United Methodist Church, with Rev. Marilyn Winch officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery near Martinsburg with graveside military rites by Arendt-Bowlin-Stubbs American Legion Post of Hedrick.
