Flossie Shaw

ELDON–Flossie Shaw, 99, of Eldon died Dec. 12, 1965, at her home.

She was born Nov. 12, 1886, in Tazewell County, Ill., to Allen and Henrietta Hart Jones. She married George Arthur Shaw on March 14, 1906, in Hedrick. He died April 18, 1964. She came to Iowa as a child in a covered wagon and lived in and near Hedrick, with the exception of three years in California. She then moved to Eldon in 1975.

She is survived by a daughter, Frances Ragen of Eldon; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

The service will be 2 p.m. Sunday at the Fremont Funeral Chapel, the Rev. Dan Mast officiating. Burial will be in Abel Cemetery near Eldon.

Visitation is 7-8 p.m. today.

Pallbearers will be Warren, Ernest and Ron Ragen, Tieg, Tony and Richard Chance, and Scott and Rick Heller.

A memorial has been established to the Eldon Christian Church or the Hedrick Christian Church.
