Wednesday, March 20, 1974R. Kiefer Dies At 53
Raymond Kiefer, 53, Fairfield Route 4, died Tuesday at the Ottumwa Hospital. He entered the hospital Sunday for surgery.
Services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Gould Funeral Home in Richland with the Rev. Paul C. Wetzstein officiating. Burial will be in Richland Friends Cemetery.
Kiefer was born May 14, 1920 at Clear Creek in Keokuk County, the son of John and Kate Redlinger Kiefer. He was married to Martha McConnell April 24, 1954.
Surviving are his widow and three sons, Randy, Terry and Bryan, all at home. Also surviving are four brothers and a sister: Leo and Zeno, both of rural Keota; Paul of Waukegan, Ill.; Clifford of Rock Island, Ill.; and Sister Paulette of Omaha, Neb.
Kiefer was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, two brothers and an infant daughter.
