Neece Rites Set Friday

RICHLAND - Harold Clarkson Neece, 73, retired farmer, died Tuesday afternoon at the Jefferson County Hospital where he had been a patient since Sunday.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Richland Friends Church with the Rev. Naomi Lock officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery. The body is at the Gould Funeral Home in Richland.

Neece was born Aug. 19, 1901 in Keokuk County, the son of Thomas and Iza Hadley Neece. He was married to Hattie Brown Sept. 30, 1920. She preceded him in death in 1971.

Neece moved to Richland following his retirement several years ago. He was a member of Richland Friends Church. Surviving are one son, Richard Neece, Sigourney; one brother, LeRoy Neece, rural Richland; one sister Mrs. Norvelle Stanley, Largo, Fla.; and one foster sister, Mrs. Gertrude Hixson, Oskaloosa.
