Ronald Tipton, 66, of the Manor House Nursing Home in Sigourney died Nov. 14, 1984 at Jefferson County hospital in Fairfield.

He was born Oct. 12, 1918 in Delta to Harland and Gertrude Jackson Tipton. He graduated from Delta high school and farmed with his brother near Sigourney, Ollie and Birmingham.

He is survived by three sisters, Devota Kintigh, Mrs. David (Geraldine) Holroyd and Mrs. Fred (Bernita) Morris. Also several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother Keith Tipton.

Services were Nov. 16 at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. Burial was in Springfield cemetery south of What Cheer. The Rev. Gary Dobbins of the Sigourney Methodist church conducted the services.
