EDWARD WEBER ,70, DIES - 1977 -Edward Felix Weber was pronounced dead on arrival at Jefferson County Hospital in Fairfield late Thursday morning. He was being transported from university hospital to a Fairfield nursing home. He had been a patient for two weeks as the result of a car-truck accident northeast of Fairfield May 5 , 1977. His wife, Myrtle died that same evening as a result of head injuries in the accident. Mr Weber underwent surgery from injuries in the accident and had not regained consciousness. The pickup truck involved in the accident was driven by Eugene Davidson. Both vehicles were totaled in the accident. Mr Weber was born August 26, 1906 in Keokuk Co., the son of Mathias and Margaret Briton Weber. He was married to Maude Snakenberg of Sigourney Feb 25 1930. They lived on the same farm 5 1/2 miles northwest of Richland and had planned to move to Richland soon. He is survived by two sons, Francis of Fairfield and James of Iowa CIty. He was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle and one daughter , Lucille Zachmeyer of Fairfield. Funeral services were held Monday and Burial was in Richland Friends Cemetery.
