The funeral services for Mrs William Snakenberg, 80, who died Friday, October 16, was held Monday . Burial was in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Mrs. Snakenburg had been confined to a wheel chair for eight years. Her final illness was of a three week duration. She was Maude Roe, daughter of Joe and Hattie Mullinnix Roe. She was born August 7, 1879 near Harper. She and William Snakenburg were married Sept 7, 1898 and lived on the family homestead northeast of Sigourney until 15 years ago when they retired to Sigourney. Besides her husband , she is survived by two sons, Elmer and Dale of Sigourney; a daughter, Mrs Ed Weber of Richland and a brother, Curt Roe, There are ten grandchildren and on grandson in law. On son, Harley, died in 1939.
