Cleda L. Spicer, 55, of rural Sigourney, died at the University of Iowa Hospitals in Iowa City December 1, 1982.

She was born July 27, 1927, at Sigourney, the daughter of Leo LeRoy and Geneva Wehr Decker.

She attended Sigourney schools.

She was married to Gerald Spicer July 15, 1944 at Sigourney. They lived all of the married life around Hayesville.

She was a member of the Sigourney Christian church.

Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Dixie Lee Neff, Sheila Clubb and Cheryl Spicer; four grandchildren; her mother, Geneva Gilliland; and a brother, Milford Decker.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, a grandchild, a brother and her father.

Services were held Dec. 3, at the Hayesville community church, with Rev. George Mullins officiating. Burial was in Pennington cemetery, south of Sigourney.
