Armand T. Phillips, 77, of rural Delta died Feb. 10, 1985 at Mercy hospital in Iowa City.

He was born May 24, 1907 in What Cheer to Thomas and Eva Schultz Phillips. He married Rosa Ella Flack Aug. 31, 1932 at Maryville, Missouri.

A lifetime resident of the What Cheer area, he was a farmer and fur farmer and also operated a fish hatchery.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Donald L.; a daughter, Arlene F. Nilles; three grandchildren and four great grandchildren; and a sister, Enid Stanley.

Services were Feb. 12 at the Harden Funeral Chapel in What Cheer, the Rev. Warren James officiating. Burial was at Sixteen cemetery near Thornburg.
