Mrs. Emma L. Northup, 94, died July 9, 1988 at Manor House Care Center in Sigourney.

The daughter of Gustav and Marie Fritz Seeber, she was born July 7, 1894, south of Sigourney. She attended Conner school and farmed north of Martinsburg. She married Lafe Northup September 27, 1927 in Oskaloosa. He died November 16, 1943.

She is survived by a daughter, Gertrude Jackson; four grandchildren; eight great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; two nephews, John Seeber and Dr. James Seeber; a great niece and a great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lafe; one son; one brother; and three great granddaughters.

Services were held July 12 at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney with the Rev. James Seeber officiating.

Burial was in Pleasant Grove cemetery in Sigourney.
