Mrs. Edwin C. (Mary E.) Bryant of Coralville, age 102, died March 4 at her home after a short illness. Funeral services were March 6 at Gay Funeral Home in Coralville with the Rev. George Kenworthy of Evangelical Free Church in Coralville officiating. Burial was at Memory Garden cemetery.

Mrs. Bryant was born Feb. 20, 1878 at Hayesville, Iowa the daughter of Hiriam and Myrtis Knowler Utterback. She married Edwin C. Bryant Feb. 27, 1905 at Hayesville. They lived in Sigourney and moved to Coralville in 1945. She was a member of the First Christian church.

Survivors include a son, Dean; two daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Ross and Mrs. Helen Seeber, with whom she made her home. She is also survived by nine granchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1968, one son, a daughter, one sister and two brothers.
