Mary Norvella Neece Stanley

BERRIEN SPRINGS, Mich. - Mary Norvella Neece Stanley of Berrien Springs died Sunday afternoon, Aug. 11, 1991.

She was born Dec. 4, 1909, the daughter of Thomas Lindley and Iza Handley Neece. She graduated from Packwood (Iowa) High School in 1927 and from William Penn College in Oskaloosa, Iowa, in 1931 with a bachelor of science degree in home economics. She married Alfred Reeves Stanley in 1932 and he died in 1986.

Surviving are two daughters, Ruth Stanley Kuntz of Iowa City and Virginia Stanley Wiggers of Buchanan; and five grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and a sister.

The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the Woolson Friends Church, the Rev. Ned Van Nostrand officiating. Burial will be in the Richland Friends Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Gould Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Woolson Friends Church or the home economics department of William Penn College.
