Waldo Clyde Raben, 81, of Hedrick died June 28, 1992, at the Sigourney Care Center where he had resided for several years.

He was born near Hedrick on July 23, 1910, to William and Stella Dawson Raben. He married Ruby Fischer Ulin on February 17, 1948 in Topeka, Kansas.

He farmed in Keokuk County all of his life. He served in the U.S. Anny during W.W.II. He was a member of the VFW in Sigourney.

He is survlved by his wife, Ruby; two stepsons, Albert Ulin and Melvin Ulin; six step- grandchildren; one step-great granddaughter; a sister, Wilma Emde; and a nephew, Robert Emde.

He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother.

Funeral services were held Friday, July 3 at Reynolds Funeral Chapel in Sigourney, the Rev. Francis Baumert officiating. Burial was in Brooks Cemetery near Hedrick. Military rites were by the American Legion Arendt Bowlin Post #83 of Hedrick.
