OVERLY, HARMON, HARMAN, DELONG, BARNHILL

Searching for information regarding the OVERLY family of Jones Co., Iowa.

Martha Jane OVERLY married Richard Milton HARMON/HARMAN 6 Jun 1847 in Marion Co., Indiana.

Shortly after the birth of their son, Jacob Crismon HARMON (b. 23 Apr 1848), Martha Jane died.

Jacob HARMON wrote an autobiography in his later years and described going to visit his mother's OVERLY family in Jones county in 1868. I have found a number of OVERLYs in Jones county, but cannot ascertain if any of these OVERLYs are her father, brothers or uncles.

Other OVERLY marriages in Marion Co., Indiana include: Harriet to John DELONG and Joanna to William BARNHILL. These marriages also took place in 1847. Both the DELONG and BARNHILL families moved to Jones county.

Were Harriet and Joanna sisters to Martha Jane? Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
