Eddie Lightfoot was a high school student when my aunt Jayne Shover. He was highly intelligent and was admitted to the University of Iowa or wanted to go there, but the family could not afford that. His life was at ends; he took common labor jobs as he found them He visited Tom and Olive Shover's farm now and then. He was smart and witty. With a laugh he told my grandfather Tom that he Eddie would turn him in when the Revolution happens. When his health failed he lived out his life at the County Poor House.
