Frank born 1846 died 1915? Married Maria Couch. Frank and Maria (Mary?) had a son named Frank. Which Frank is your gggrandfather?
Frank/Franz born 1846 in Elsenz, Baden was the son of Johannes Bohli and Katharina Elisabeth Stretz.
Johannes and Katharina had 6 children in Elsenz. Katharina died in Elsenz in 1851.
Maria Anna Stretz a younger sister of Katharina. In 1851 Maria had a son named Johann Georg Stretz, father unknown and she was probably not married as the child has Stretz as last name.
In about 1853 Johannes Bohli and Maria Anna Stretz emigrated to New York. I have yet to find a marriage record for them in Elsenz and believe they probably married in New York. Arriving with them was her son Johann Georg and the children of Johannes Bohli: Katharina Barbara, Margaretha, Franz, and Elisabetha.
I have a lot of Stretz info. I descend from Johann Georg Stretz, brother of Katharina Elisabetha Stretz and Maria Anna Stretz. Another brother was Franz Josef Stretz. Johann Georg and Franz Josef emigrated to Boonville, MO. Franz In 1845 and Johann Georg In 1854.
I have at least 5 generations back documented in Germany.
