Coming up kind of empty here as it looks as though you will have better luck in Linn County. Luther was born there (Springville area) c.1862. Is age 8 with his parents Philip House and Elizabeth Grassfield in the 1870 census. Is seen working on a farm in 1880 census in Linn County. Haven't found him in the 1900-1920 census but shows up in Fairview, Jones County for the 1925 census. Did he move to Canada at some time being he doesn't show up for 20+ years in US census for any state?

Philip House is still at home with his parents in the 1860 census also Linn County.

Since House centers in linn I would bet Beardsley will too. The 1925 census shows spelling Beardfield.
