The Asa Bowen family moved from Monticello Township, Jones county, Iowa late in the 1850's to land the family held around Sand Spring. Sand Spring is in Delaware county, I suspect that is where you will find the license. The Bowen's had supported the Bowen's Prairie Congregational Church, which is in Jones County, however, by 1903 there was barely a congregation remaining, people had moved on to the churches in Cascade, Sand Spring, Hopkinton and Monticello. As for the Bowen family in 1903 I would think the churches in Hopkinton, Delaware county would be the best bet.
